In order to protect your voice, make sure you’re warmed up before working on your belt. The first step in any vocal warm-up is breathing and stretching because we always want steady airflow and strong breath support. But belting places even greater demand for our support muscles. When our abdomen and lower bodywork to
support the sound and maintain consistent airflow, it takes the pressure off of our throat. So let’s move and stretch those muscles!
